This standard pin stub sample holder is designed for high resolution (30 nm) imaging and can accommodate 3D type samples.

Charge Reduction Sample Holder

The charge reduction sample holder is designed to avoid extra sample preparation on non conductive samples.  With the charge reduction holder samples like paper, polymers, organic materials, ceramics, glass, coatings can be imaged in their original state.

This (optional) holder supports resin mounted samples (schlieffen). Embedding and polishing are common techniques used to create flat samples for microscopic investigation.

Micro Tool Holder

This (optional) holder makes it possible to image a wide range of axial shaped objects such as drilling bits and milling tools. The holder has been specially designed for the micro manufacturing market, where the Phenom is used as a quality inspection tool in order to meet and maintain the high quality standards in this type of industry.

Micro-electronics Insert

Traditionally samples are prepared by gluing them onto an aluminum stub, removing the sample after imaging causes damage.
The micro-electronics insert is designed to overcome this problem. Its unique clamping mechanism makes glue, or other adhesives, obsolete.

X-view Insert

The x-view insert is designed to look at cross sections of samples. It uses a smart split clamping mechanism that eliminates the need for screws and tools to clamp the sample. A wide range of sample can be clamped from thin pieces of coating or paint to fractured surfaces of screws or other parts.
